@talk Penryn: the brand new iPad app!

A new app has been added to the students' iPads for @talk Penryn. This provides an easy way for students to message key staff  directly if they have a concern about their wellbeing, or any issues/concerns which they cannot resolve themselves.

Safeguarding & Anti-Bullying at Penryn College

"Safeguarding is about protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect."

Want to know more? From Anti-bullying to E-Safety, you can find school policies and additional guides on our website. We have created a dedicated page to explain everything that we do for students, what students can do for themselves and what parents can do to help as well.

You will find useful links under each heading such as information for parents and support for students, as well as photographs of all our safeguarding staff so you and your child know who can help.
This page can always be found under "The School" and the "Parents" tabs on our website.

"It is everyone’s responsibility and as such our school aims to create the safest environment within which every student has the opportunity to achieve."

Year 7 Literacy Challenge

This fortnights' final winner is Bessy Murphy in 7FE1

"I had never seen anything so disgusting in my life. Crimson liquid seeped into the frosty white snow, bleaching it a nauseating colour. Rotten corpses swarming with flies lay among the cold, the sharp point of a former garden fence impaling one. The skeletal shell of an old car stood lifelessly in the origin in the motorway. Death seemed to follow wherever I looked. My gaze glanced at a pristine, white  daisy among the crushed concrete. Life. I was not alone."
This fortnight's challenge: In 80 words or less, write a story about someone waiting for an important message.

College Applications - Reminder

Year 11 students will be given their college application forms in an assembly on Wednesday 18th January. Copies of the form are also available here.

We strongly recommend that students complete the form and return it to the WRL office in the library before half term as this will ensure an early interview.

Students who still need support to make their choices can speak to the WRL staff in the library – we’re here to help!
